paired up with adult partners with the bowlers alternating frames for three games played registration for the family twosome is 930 am for the morning shift and 1 pm for the afternoon shift there are to be four cate gories in each division youth bowlers are also reminded of the shift change this saturday juniors bowl at 9 am and pee wees and ban tams bowl at 1 pm bowlers are also being asked to squad blanked missis- sauga 40 in its opener the went on to qualify for the championship contest with a 41 win over stoney creek but they ran out of gas in the title match lori howes and jennifer williams were named action mvps for the first two games with laura winterstein earning the award in the final by scoring both her teams goals in the pee wee flight the angies crew was blanked 40 in their first game but came back to bounce cobourg 52 on a hat trick by kristi ingram the stouffville squad then bested cobourg 31 in the bronze final with cheryl norton getting the mvp nod kellie over boyds sports in stouffville intermediate hockey league play last week barry greenshields and tim follwell also scored for the winners while it was ted waite and kevin mcguckin clicking for boyds the stouffville neil and ken patrick novice clippers came home consolation champions from their first tournament of the season in cannington last saturday the clippers rolled over the host squad 101 in the consolation final the game came on the heels of a 6- 3 opening game loss to west hill and a 41 win over sunderland tony rossi led the clippers attack for the tourney taking the teams mvp honors with three goals and four assists eric harper scored three times and had a pair of assists while ryan jackson had three goals jamie vesterfelt had two goals and three assists ryan fontana two goals and an assist brandon miller two goals andrew goldie one goal and three assists matthew prentice one goal and an assist grant turner three assists david brown one assist and ryan jones one assist casey maude was strong on defence for the clippers and gra ham smith stood out in goal the clippers then went out the next day and turned the tables oh the only team to defeat them so far this season the clippers who had suffered their initial loss of the season to port hope a week earlier handed the port crew a 72 thumping in their return visit harpers goal just a minute and a half into the game set the tone for the contest after port hope tied it up the clippers then hit for six straight goals three of them in 35 seconds harper ended up with a pair of goals as did rossi brown goldie and miller also lit the lamp for the patrick prentice and brent meyer each earned two assists with single set ups going to rossi miller jones and goldie minor atom clippers shut out oshqwateam put one in the win column for the stouffville choko design minor atom clippers the clippers defence came up aces in helping goaltender brad miller shut out the oshawa black hawks 30 monday night in an exhibition contest the clippers put on a passing clinic with tyler armstrong com bining with shawn barton and bronson leger to ice the game with a couple of third period mark ers armstrong with two and tyler markle looked after the clippers scoring but it was the stouffville defence corps of leger jesse wood adam jacque and francis bourqui that stood out throughout the match providing the support miller need ed to blank the hawks the clippers are off to play in a tournament in stayner this week end
