pro blems as his reason for leaving the board he said he found travelling to be increasingly difficult career day a success by andreavalerie grundy the students enjoyed a career day that was planned by members of the staff at stouff- ville high speakers ranged from those involved in law to those in acting students had a chance to select who they wished to see most and received a lot of information on what is specifically involved in that career the day went well with little confusion involved students for the most part were wellbehaved and cooperative this idea was a good one and should continue to be done yearly so people are informed of exactly whats expected once they enter the working world anythingthis time i hope this letter will help the next one my husband and i and our three small children live at the corner of davis drive and durham road 30 in the township of uxbridge we have lived here just over a year in the evening we hear the oc casional screeching of tires or the honk of an angry horn but had not experienced any of the major accidents that we had heard took place here on a regular basis apparently theyve been hap pening for years indeed there have been fatalities before this is not the first tonight we witnessed one first hand and we took part in the cleanup we held hands phoned wives talked to parents tried to calm those involved and wondered how soon it will be until the next time its hard to say what might have circumvented this acci dentif anything at all might have made the parties act differently however one has to wonder what the magic number of deaths is for some kind of action to be taken to try to avoid the next one we really have no great desire to have traffic lights create a con stant red green and yellow flashing through our windows but on the other band and far more importantly we dont want to have to pick up the pieces of fatal car accidents from our front lawn again this young mans life may just may have been saved if traffic control at this corner consisted of more than a stop sign there seem to be several alter natives an overhead street lamp a flashing red light on the stop sign flashing yellow island lights or if necessary full traffic lights i hope youll give this letter your consideration and action can be initiated before someone else dies i dont think any of us can turn a blind eye to this kind of
