elementary school the halls go silent buses stop running and parents wonder how to keep their kids busy for the next two months with pleasant weather with us children are everywhere on bikes skateboards rollerskates and other types of locomotion what can we do to help kids pass the weeks ahead every kind of lesson imagin able is available swimming riding skating and music to men tion only a few many moms and dads drive miles in order to have their sons and daughters enrolled in classes of their choice with so many parents working some of you may have the time to take a neighbors child along hopefully many older students have found full or parttime sum mer jobs to those of you still looking my advice is dont be too picky you can gain experi ence and learn something from any position even if it isnt what you really had in mind some of you are back in school sooner than you thought sum mer school make the best of it take advantage of the opportunit- y work hard for a short period of time and obtain the credit you need to go on next year most school buildings are idle during the summer except for major cleaning by custodial staff the community and the board fraud charge
