clippers last week when they were eliminated with four straight losses to lindsay lindsay was by far the superior squad as it easily won the first two matches 60 and 50 game three was a little closer and john mckinnon accounted for the offence the boys continued their strong exhibition performance downing thornhill 51 john mckinnon with two scott gray roger mcmann and chad dickinson led the attack stouffville also beat markham 32 to keep the hot streak alive john mckinnon opened the scoring with a blast from the boards dave hutchinson and brad goode tallied as well brad hackert played well in net step two for bowlers six markham bowlers are one step closer to competing in the provincial 5pin cham pionships after qualifying for the southern ontario finals stan kamskis bantam team of lisa mulrine angela soete- mans pam mcnamara alli son haines and samantha alpert earned the honor by finishing first overall in step two of the youth bowling coun cils four steps to stardom competition they bowled out of the mar kham centre lanes as does traccy williams she also gained a spot at the southern ontario tournament winning the junior girls singles divi sion at the steptwo event a total of 26 local bowlers took part in the competition the junior boys were third overall junior girls fourth and hoopers back on track by frank king sports editor high costs recent health prob lems so what
