markham as well as in the guild for so long both were village oriented and now both are well on the way to becoming metropolis minded change is the way of things in the world today but the changes in markham come so rapidly its hard to keep up with them the new people moving in bring new needs and ideas and wants at the guild we try to provide the friendship so necessary to strangers new to town president of carmen di paola real estate ltd in markham will head york regions 1986 united way cam paign the announcement was made last week by kent hill president of united way of york region carmens dedication to com munity activities in york region is wellknown said mr hill we are sure hell make a dyna mic contribution to the cam paign mr di paola expressed enthu siasm for the task ahead noting that no one needs to be con vinced of the worthy work done by the united ways 30 agencies in york region the corporate community and volunteer workers are already rallying around in readiness to launch the campaign said the new chairman agency budgets are currently being reviewed and the campaign goal for 1986 will be set shortly every agency budget will be carefully examined not one pen ny will be wasted said mr di paola and all monies raised in york region will stay in york re gion to help provide human care services for those of us who live and work here anyone wishing to help with
