a8 tribune november 7 1984 s 2 lieut governor guest of hono at opening of anglican church a special day dear jim sunday oct 4 was a very special day in our community at the morning service in christ church anglican whitchurch- stouffville a new addition was acknow ledged the sanctuary is beautiful a credit to all associated with the church and a real credit to our town in life there are assets and liabili ties rev philip poole is truly an asset to this town it has been an honor and a privilege to know and work with rev poole he loves god he loves people he exercises this enthusiasm through out the year in our community he loves to work hard hes involved he has never been afraid of con troversy he meets difficulties head- on im sure there have been times this strength of character has caused great turmoil i am proud to live in a town with so many churches and so many people who love god i trust rev chris sorley of bloomington christian gospel church will forgive my absence this past sunday the town is growing the churches are growing- this speaks well for the future and quality of life in whitchurch- stouffville respectfully fran sainsbury rr 2 stouffville an engraved plaque was presented to rev poole by wm davis it is admired here by jim green left tlfe york north mpp bill hodgson on behalf of premie rectors warden and peter parent one of the most pleased and proudest participants in sundays service was the congregations rector rev philip poole he later praised the faith and foresight of the congregation that made the 380000 project possible jim thomas special music at sundays service was provided by the church choir under the direction of jim rehill here mr rehill talks with lieut governor job black aird in the reception line following the worshij
