editors mail no juniors to all junior c clipper fans suppor ters players sponsors and managerial staff the management of the junior c clipper team and the minor hockey ex ecutive wish to inform everyone espe cially the loyal supporters of our junior clippers team of a decision to withdraw from the oha junior schedule for the upcoming 198485 season this decision was not lightly made after a great deal of soulsearching and many hours of discussion it has been decided that it was not economically feasible to ice a team this season we the executive and management of the club wish to thank all persons play ers coaches sponsors and support staff who tried so very hard to make this a successful venture during the past several seasons we have tried many things to help strengthen the organisa tion but to no avail the success of any organization de pends on a total commitment of players coaches sponsors management and fans and sufficient revenue and finan cial backing to support incurred ex penses the clipper organization was in terested this year in forming a team comprising of local players who were intent on playing for stouffville there was a wealth of talent available howev er there was not sufficient support and commitment from sponsors to finance a junior team we are taking a leave of absence for one year but anticipate a return to the junior c circuit next year providing we can put together the necessary pieces to make it a viable operation in the interim period we will ice a juvenile club and we are working very hard to fill the junior c ice time with an alternative team which we feel will be appealing to fans of all ages this was a most difficult decision to make to all those who have been associated with the junior club over the years we wish to express out deepest regret we look forward to your continued i support and hope that we can somehow renew our acquaintance with everyone in the very near future and again cheer our junior clippers
