maiioy wife of dorian m alloy formerly of stouffville and now living in penetanguishine will appear monday nov 28 at 730 pm on the tv show thrill of a lifetime late elmer reesor respected by all it was back in 1976 that elmer reesor cone 5 rr 1 unionville was stricken with a rare disease known as amytrophic lateral sclerosis from which there is no known cure although faced with the prospect of de teriorating health that would ultimately place him in a wheelchair mr reesor re fused to give in but rather chose to live out his remaining years to the full in doing so he gained the respect of the entire com munity a respect that was acknowledged wednesday at the funeral service in wide- man mennonite church he was 54 elmer carl reesor was born march 10 1929 on the fifth line a halfmile south of the stouffville road he was one of ten in the family of carl and annie reesor as a boy he attended ss no 12 public school and later started up a poultry busi ness on the home farm farther south for a time he worked for barney larkin at the local ji case dealership while there he made a host of friends associa tions he enjoyed to the full elmer reesor involved himself in all the good things of life including hagerman mennonite church where he served as an elder and fraser lake camp near ban croft where he assisted on the board of directors following the sale of the 5th concession farm mr and mrs reesor took up resi dence in a new home on 19th avenue be tween the fifth and sixth there mrs reesor provided roundtheclock care mr reesor was justifiably proud of his family five sons james richard and robertathome eugene rr lstouffvill- e edward in hamilton and one daughter joanna mrs andrew reesormcdowell rr 1 unionville two grandchildren martin and allan reesormcdowell were a source of great joy there are four brothers and five sisters it was mr reesors wish that he remain at home to the end a request his family respected he passed away on sunday rev david martin of hagerman menno nite church conducted the service wednesday from the wideman missionary church with interment the adjoining cemetery the six children served as pall bearers kids display craft skills friday being a pa day and no school dozens of stouffville children found time hanging heavily on their hands however the parks and re creation department came o the rescue of some 60 parents and pro-
