region united way m fall campaign york region united way of york region campaign 83 is counting down to launch cn monday sept 26 volunteers in every community will begin 46 days of fundraising more volunteers are needed campaign chairman frank stronach has stated his goal for campaign 83 sept 24 to nov 11 is 2 million according to stronach united way agencies could constructively use 2 million our official target is 800000 but i know we can do much better we live and work in a very prosperous region and we should give something back to the community last year windsor suffering some of the highest unemployment in ontario man aged to pump a respectable 4 million into united way agencies york region with only two thousand fewer residents and a much lower unemployment record only auction
