this sum mer when asked if they were going to play any other sport the reply was invariably no tomorrow night thursday the soccer club executive meet to decide how many teams will be formed this season the information is then passed on by the club vicepresidents to the league committees enabling game schedules to be drawn up by the nine par ticipating clubs game schedules are published in early may during the last three years the soccer club has tried hard to provide sport for as many players as possible during that time registration was flexible and during march april and may it was usual to have to accommodate up to a hundred latecomers which in consequence necessitated the club changing league schedules sometimes as late as june hauling parents off the sidelines and with a ten minute crash course turn them into coaches and managers all f quite unnecessary if everyone had played the game and registered on time i have a feeling that tomorrow night the executive will not make provision for teams that cannot be accounted for with present- registrations recently a motion was passed that teams must have a minimum of 14 players therefore teams of 8 or 9 players cannot be formed in the hope that late registrations will make up the deficit maybe it is difficult to think of soccer when you are engulfed in hockey playoffs- and trying to keep taps on gretzkys latest achievements never theless the pos sibility of cuts in the number of soccer teams is a distinct possibility however the keen ones have already registered and if a decision tomorrow evening to refuse further registration is passed jhenthe club will be blessed with fewer administrative head- aches for those who are still in doubt registration is still open further information can be obtained from the stouffville hobby- craft and tov suc cess square but remember time is running out tomorrow thursday may be the last chance to wear the yellow and blue this season bowling scores metro move
