immense size is partly the result of an optical illusion about 3200 square feet its really not much larger than their present home next door built and designed by les todd about nine years ago the house which some people describe as a dreamliome will have eight rooms plus washrooms a sauna- indoor pool and a walkup basement though final credit for the plans goes to mr todd everyone in the family seemed to have a hand in this rather unusual family project tlieir youngest son brian picked the idea for the design of the front the floor plan is based on a home economics assignment their daughter sharon produced many years ago for a high school project the todds incorprated the best features of many other houses they had studied designing their own with a grown up family in mind the layout will enable them to entertain larger groups of people than in their present house though much of the work is being completed by subcontractors part of the job falls to les todd and sons brian and ross mr todd has been a builder himself since 1952 presently hes erecting a 46 home development in malvern which requires most of his time for this reason- construction oh their own home has been halted until spring the todds hope to have it ready by the sum mer though they wont move in until their present home issold mrs todd jokes that she hopes the new owners would be pleased with their pur finance committee chairman bill mcnalley called on the committee to request firms submit bids outlining the com parative posts of dumping within and outside the area for- a two year period he said in light of the fact the ministry of natural resources has found theyork sanitation site is not contaminating area- water committee shbuld consider both alternatives- he emphasized his proposal wouldnt commit them to any specific action v there is presently a bylaw prohibiting- land fill sites on the municipal books but it has no force after the provincial government overruled it- arid approved the position should they ever need to act against dumping in the area public works committee chairman jim doble stated before any decision is made well have to have a legal opinion the other councillors eventually agreed to seek a solicitors advice if they were prepared to dispose of the matter in the way chairman mcnalley suggested councillor jim sanders asked the committee to withhold tender for
