jack chambers and ken may will all be volunteering for duty in the dunk tank as part of this weeks stouffville canada day celebration jthe kinsmen club is sponsoring the tank which will fperate friday night and all day saturday july 1st from 1 pm proceeds from the tank will be used for town needs such as lights for the park the dunk tank is just a small part of the various activities that will take place on saturday at the park the celebrations begin at 9 am with the start of the soccer squirt tournament the midway rides which start thursday night open at 10 am saturday along with the arts and crafts booths the silver jubilee lea garden the ladies auxiliary bake sale and the museum and food booths strictly for the kids is the ticycle decorating contest with registration at 1030 in the park judging at 11 am also at 11 am the popular chamber of commerce hamburger booth opens for business and another favourite the lalcham hall beer garden will be back this year sponsored by the newly chartered ballantrae and district lions club the highlight of the af ternoon should be the baseball game between the chum allstars and the stouffville pickups at 2 pm in the ballpark besides the ball game those sports minded residents will also be able to watch a tball contest at l pm and a lobball match at 7 pm the days activities will wind down with the stouffville legion sponsored open house at 830 pm at the legion hall en tertainment and refreshments will be made available the final event of the day is for the teen set a dance in the stouffville arena featuring the popular group liverpool considers museums removal aurora the future of the whitchurch stouffville museum at bogarttown rests with york county board of educations planning and building committee a delegation from the town asked the board monday night to consider plans for moving the former school building which has served as a museum for the past eight years four miles to vandorf park the current site forms part of a
