converged on stouffville from brooklin oshawa ajax port perry thornhill newmarket and markham to take part in the affair that saw ajax a emerge the tourneys best the champions returned home with the roberts sand and gravel trophy after three consecutive wins in the final fixture they were hard pressed to defeat a strong well- balanced squad from thornhill it wasnt until the three minute mark in the overtime period that they were able to break the 33 deadlock jim hes- lin got what proved to be the winning goal on an as sist from richard kranc kranc performed brilliant ly setting up heslin
