shillington why all the denominations a good question to hear christians talk about the church anyone would think that only one exists now just think there are united presbyter ian anglican baptist united missionary free methodist christian reformed and pentecos tal to mention just a few main protestant den ominations the roman catholic church seems to be the only one that remains united yet if we look through tha history of the church we will find that the roman catholic church experienced some breaks too some more serious than oth ers actually the seeds of the protestant church were germinated right within the roman cath olic church so that the reformation was merely another major break this happens when people think positively and progressively now back to our question why so many de nominations well this may come as a shock to some but i believe in only one holy catholic church as the apostles creed states who are the members people people make the church just as people make society some people in our society are farmers some are businessmen some professional people and some housewives but all of them come under the common denominator people but there must be a certain kind of people in the holy catholic church yes holy people these come from every denomination mention ed one factor unites these people all over the world they believe in the same god and sav iour jesus christ they believe that christs life death and resurrection is the means of freedom from sin and death and thats what makes them holy next sunday you will find people in all kinds of churches but worshipping one god and claim ing one saviour why all the denominations because people have differences of personality and opinion for example my name and my family are par ticularly precious to me you feel the same about yours i am sure but we are both mem bers of the human race with very much in common the church has fast singing and slow sing ing much ritual and little ritual baptism by immersion and infant baptism but we are all one in christ jesus pastors wife in hospital leads underwater search stouffville on saturday members of the canadian subaqua club of toronto will
