wilson whose energetic activities over the years had always been closely connected with the greenwood united church suffered a fatal heart seizure on sunday morn ing while conducting a special mothers day service she col lapsed suddenly after announc ing the number of the first hymn and passed away minutes later in the sunday school room of the sanctuary she was the sunday school superinten dent one of many offices she had held in the various church- organizations mrs agnes wilson a few days earlier she had been warned by her physician to curtail her activities when symptoms showed signs of a heart condition against the wishes of her family she in sisted on taking charge of the service on sunday her one son les his wife and children were seated in the congregation the service was concluded and church members did not learn of mrs wilsons death until la ter the news came as a great shock to both the family and friends mrs wilson the former agn es jane byers was born near greenwood in pickering twp the daughter of the late james byers on may 5th 1920 she was married to perry wilson who predeceased her in 1942 she was in her 72nd year there was no phase of church work that did not attract her interest a former choir mem ber and church organist she was also connected with the ucw organization and this year was appointed superin tendent of the sunday school she was the greenwood corres pondent for the tribune a work she completed faithfully every week for many years besides her son on the home farm sne is survived by two brothers stan and fred byers both of greenwood a third
