bob smith of claremont uf golf club operator fined 300 for illegal liquor sales recent liquor raids by police on two local golf clubs revealed they were selling liquor on the premises illegally whitevale golf club picker ing township was charged with keeping liquor for sale following a police raid july 9 court was told last week that the effective search produced 430 pints of beer 63 bottles of liquor and a large number of pan bottles of liquor crown attorney bruce af fleck told magistrate harry w jermyn there wire no com plaints received of drunkenness on the premises or minors con suming his worship tuld john rein- holdl who appeared in court on behalf of the golf club they were conducting an illegal bar and knew it he imposed a monetary pen alty of 300 and costs on the club and confiscated the liquor fiank lavin of whitby was also charged whh the same of- fence following a similar raid by police july 9 mr lavin was employed by the whitby golf and country club at the time police discovered 652 pints of beer 13 full bottles of liquor and 6 part bottles in this raid there were several people seated in the club restaurant drinking beer out of paper cups when police raided
