naniiy hcuary 17 1963 1he st0uffy1ue tribune vtqt 5 oving usine commencing monday of next week january 21st we will be doing business in our new office building at 5456 main street directly across the street from our present location henceforth our present building will house the production plant only and all business will be transacted from our new office on the south side of the street the reason for the move is one of accommodation as no additional space was available in the plant building and it was very badly needed both our editorial and office staff as well as our customers will find the new office quite pleasing the new quarters formerly occupied by simpsons- sears provide almost four times the accommodation previously pro vided the move will make for much better service allowing the business staff to deal with the needs of our subscribers our advertisers and our office supply customers much more efficiently as in all such changeovers there will be a period of adjustment and some wrinkles to be ironed out however we trust that the public will bear with us during this period which will ultimately bring a more efficient operation both for ourselves and our customers ore office supplies one of the features of our new offices on the south side of main street will be an expanded office supply and stationery store again our cramped quarters in the present plant building has curtailed our carrying the supplies which we would have liked and have hindered us being able to serve the area as well as we might in this department our large window display area will allow the public to view many of the lines which we carry particularly some of the larger items such as filing cabinets office chairs etc while we will open next week with a much larger line the various lines of merchandise will continue to be expand ed as our customer requirements become better known ample space is now avail able for customers to peruse our wedding and social stationery samples without interruption and to serve themselves with smaller office items from the shelves you are invited to come in and look around and if there is something you dont see ask for it change after 75 years we are changing the location of our business office next week after seventy- five years henceforth all business will be conducted from the new office and the present building will be used strictly for production an intercommunication system has been installed by the bell telephone co be tween office and plant so that any ques tions customers may have regarding commercial printing orders may be read ily available during the seventyfive years in which the newspaper has occupied the present premises there have been four additions made to the building so that there is not an additional square foot of space remaining for any further expansion on the present site the business was acquir ed by the nolan family in 1922 and the last addition and largest to be made to the plant was nine years ago the new location will be equally as ac cessible to the public as the present and this point played a major part in our decision when seeking more accommoda tion ouffmut business office 54 56 main st telephone 6402100 plant 53 main st
