king cole duck farm on the auiora sideroad was tak ing too much water from the stream the land ownets latest com- plaint urged that council take action befote the freezeup as they feared the flow would bo so small the water would freeze leaving the people down the stream without any supply council admitted that they could force the company to remove the pipeline from tho road allowance but thought this action too drastic they did comment firmly however that something must be done since the duck farm owners were now in a position to drain the creek at any time since they hae installed a sixinch pipe in place of a threeinch and have plenty of pumps to force the pressuie the water resouicos com mission from whom council had been seeking help leported onlv that they could take action if the film did not cease dumping featheis and other refuse into the stieam however the com pany it was stated had now remedied this complaint by in stalling a number of ponds and shallow wells through which the water must pass prior to being diained from the final well and sprayed on the land the owrc did not make any comment that the taking of 175 gallons of water per minuto from the stieam should be any haidship to others it was stated that the company closes operations at the end of december so that theie will be a decrease in use of the water this may also delay any action on the matter this
