brooklin with a yield of 1094 bushels per acre nineteen farmers took part in the 100 bushel corn club this year yields were taken on a 3- acre plot each contestant could usa any variety he wished and return home after the war was over in 1921 he married mary edna bartlett of monteagle and work ed in the local faldspar mines for a few years in 1923 the family moved to oshawa and he worked at general motors for twentytwo years in 1939 he bought a farm at greenwood and lived there until his death in 1950 he became a field under writer for cooperators insur ance association mr mclean was very active in community activities and will bo sadly missed in many organi zations he was a member of corinthian lodge no 61 ioof for thirtyeight years and was a past district deputy he was also a member of the ontario encampment no 11 ioof and the oshawa rebekah lodge no 3 he was a member of green wood united churcli and served on the board as a trustee he was very active in ont county
