Notes
On Sept 17, 1921, The Helen foundered during gale force winds just east of Oshawa Harbour. After 3 days, the aging vessel finally succumbed to the breakers, racing across what is now the Darlington Shoals. This 7- foot Schooner was the last of the "Stone-Hookers" to operate on the Great Lakes.
