Description:
Black and white postcard with an image of a plane held by hydro wires on top of the buildings at the four corners at King and Simcoe Streets.
Notes:
A JN-4, attempting a forced landing on Oshawa's main street on 22 April 1918, became entangled with telephone wires and pinned near the top of a store front where it remained suspended for several hours. The uninjured pilot was part of an ambitious flight training program initiated by the Royal Flying Corps to train Canadians to fly during World War I.
