Black and white photo of three unidentified children playing with a "Penny-Farthing" or High-Wheeled bicycle.
Notes:
The High-wheeled bicycle was invented in 1870, and was the first such vehicle to be entirely metal. The logic behind the contraption was that with a larger front wheel the cyclist would only have to pedal half as often to travel twice as far.
