Notes:
The idea to build Albert Street School came out of the same meeting in 1876 as did Mary Street School. Due to overcrowding it was proposed that two new schools be built in Oshawa, one was to be on a piece of property at Wilkinson Ave. and Albert Street which was purchased for $700. The building was erected and the first serving principal/teacher was Mr. Bush. The school itself operated until 1967 at such time when it was converted into office and storage space.
