Maverick entrepreneur built Pleasure Valley Ranch in North Oshawa in 1939. The park boasted a sweeping list of attractions including a man-made lake, a dance hall, two pools, a clubhouse, outdoor skating, wiener roasts, a small train, horses and a variety of other animals.
