York Regional Police Chief Bruce Crawford told the regional police commission that traffic fatalities in York Region have been reduced by 55 per cent over the past five years.
The Chief said he was reluctant to announce the good news with three days left for the end of the year, however he thanked the people of York Region for their co-operation.
