FLETCHER - SLEETH
Wesley United Church was the scene on Thursday, Dec. 24 when Ruth Dinah Sleeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sleeth, was united in marriage to Ronald William Fletcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fletcher. Rev. Ivan Kennedy performed the double-ring ceremony.
Jim Sleeth, brother of the bride, sang "The Lord's" Prayer" accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Ian Dick.
The bride, given away by her father, wore a gown of white velvet with a fingertip veil and tiara of pearls. She carried a white Bible with red roses.
Bridesmaid was the bride's sister, Mrs. Bob Rostance, who wore a gown of red velvet and carried a white muff and red roses. Best man was Kenneth Cain of Zephyr.
The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The mother of the bride received in a blue suit with red accessories and a corsage of red and white carnations. The groom's mother assisted in a navy dress with black accessories and white carnations.
The couple left by car for a honeymoon to points north and on their return will live in Newmarket.
