In the year 1821 the Yonge Street Circuit of the Methodist Church was extended from Toronto to Lake Simcoe and the village of Newmarket was then included in the regular preaching places. The pioneer ministers in 1821 and 1823 were Wm. H. Williams and James Atwood. Accompanying images of Methodist churches. Continued on page 2
