The writer of the following article, Theodore Roosevelt, jr., son of the 26th president of the United States is following the path public service blazed by his father. He is now governor of Porto Rico and had previously been assistant secretary to the United States navy. During the war, he was in France with the A.E.F. and was wounded and decorated. In company with his brother, Kermil, he has led exploration expeditions into many corners of the world.
