The death occurred on Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.J. Woodcock, 136 Grass Avenue, St. Catharines, after an illness of several weeks, of Augusta Jane, widow of William Shelton.

She was born in Gainsborough Township on February 1, 1866, and was the last surviving member of the family of the late James and Dorothy Tice. After living in Grimsby most of her life, she moved to St. Catharines 6 years ago.

She is survived by four sons and four daughters: Clarence, Percy and Burton, of Grimsby, and John of Beamsville; Mrs. James Fisher (Bessie), of Grimsby; Mrs. Leonard Dawson (Jessie), and Mrs. Arthur Woodcock (Gladys) of St. Catharines; and Mrs. Hugh Merritt (Dorothy), of Kitchener; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Resting at the Stonehouse Funeral Home, Grimsby. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. this Thursday, with interment in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
