Francis Edward Pearn, resident of Grimsby for the last 35 years, died in West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Sunday after a brief illness.

In his 72nd year, he was born in England, May 19, 1881, a son of the late John and Edith (Young) Pearn. He had been in Canada since 1905.

Surviving besides his wife, the former Helena Clarke, are four daughters: Mrs. George Main, of Buffalo; Miss Marjorie Pearn, Mrs. George Terryberry and Mrs. Earl Martin, all of Grimsby.

The body rested at the Stonehouse Funeral Home, Grimsby, where funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon. Burial was made in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
