Mrs. Alice Verta Gilmartin, a resident of Hamilton for the last 33 years, died at the Hamilton General Hospital Friday.

Mrs. Gilmartin was born in Parkhill and later moved to Grimsby where she lived for 11 years. At the time of her death she resided at 172 Balmoral Avenue South, Hamilton.

She as a member of Grace Anglican Church, the Women's Auxiliary, the Ladies' Aid and the United Empire Loyalists.

Surviving are her husband John; one son, William, London; one daughter, Mrs. Michael J. Walsh (Marjory); three grandchildren, Sheila, Patricia and Janie; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Besterd, Thorndale, and Mrs. Hedley Cook, Toronto.
