Cecil R. Cocks, Hamilton sportsman and teacher, died yesterday in the Hamilton General Hospital. He was 38 years of age.

Born in Grimsby, he had lived in Hamilton for the last 6 years and had been teaching for 13 [years...] His Hamilton address was 154 Park Row South.

In a life devoted to sport, Mr. Cocks this year pitched for the Modjeskas who have now become first in the Eastwood Fastball League. He was also president of the Woodland Softball League.

Surviving are his wife, the former Bernice Parker; four sons, Philip, Gary, Brian and Gerald, all at home; his father, Mr. Philip Cocks, of Hamilton; two brothers, Leonard, of Fenwick, and Harold, of St. Ann's; and one sister, Mrs. Grace Clipper, of Dunnville.
