In failing health for some time, Orlin A. McPherson, beloved husband of Alice Traver Robertson, passed away at his late home, 101 Helena Street, Dunnville, on Wednesday last, in his 82nd year.
Born at Silverdale in Gainsborough Township, Nov. 14, 1870, he was the son of the late Nelson L. McPherson and Margaret E. Disher. He spent all his life in Silverdale until he retired in Dunnville 5 years ago.
Always taking an active part in the work of the church and the community, he was a life elder in Silverdale United Church and choir leader of the church for many years. His first wife, Susannah Moote, predeceased him in May 1914.
Besides his sorrowing widow, he leaves to mourn him, two sons and two daughters, Robert of Wellandport, Carson M. of Niagara Falls, Mrs. (Rev.) Charles A. Jay (Luella) of Toronto, and Mrs. Harold Martin (Melba) of Tintern; two sisters, Mrs. J.O. Moore of Grimsby and Mrs. Orlin E. Lounsbury of Smithville; and 16 grandchildren.
