Harry J. Blair, a former plant manager of the Niagara Brand Spray Company, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at his home, 25 Hager Avenue, Burlington. He had been a member of the Burlington Board of Education for 35 years.
Born at Jordan, and a Burlington resident for 50 years, Mr. Blair had been a station agent with the Grand Trunk Railway before joining the Niagara Brand Spray Company 42 years ago. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church.
Deceased came to Grimsby with his parents as a child, attended Grimsby schools and learned telegraphing under his father, the late John Blair, who was station agent here for many years.
Surviving are his widow, the former Arabelle Ransom; two sons, Gordon J. and Theron, of Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Murray L. Graham, of Toronto, Mrs. Donald Wallace, Burlington; one brother, James, of Vancouver, B.C., and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Woolverton, of Toronto.
