Word had been received in Smithville of the death of Percy Moyer, of Dundee, Michigan, at the University Hospital at Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Mr. Moyer was born in 1900 at Campden, Ont., a son of the late Alpheus H. Moyer and Mary Culp Moyer. He enlisted with the 120th City of Hamilton Battalion during the First World War, and later lived in Buffalo, Hamburg, N.Y., and Dundee. A member of Dundee Methodist Church, he served as church secretary and was on the teaching staff of the church school.
Mr. Moyer is survived by his widow, the former Catharine Curtis; one, son, John Raymond, a daughter, Mary Elizabeth, both students at Michigan State Normal College at Ypsilanti; one brother, Charles, of Lockport, N.Y.; six sisters, Mrs. Cora Etherington, of Grimsby; Mrs. Verna Dailey, of Clifton Springs, N.Y.; Mrs. Lillian Beech, of Burlington; Mrs. Irene PAtterson, of Smithville; Mrs. Grace Colter, of Barker, N.Y.; and Mrs. Florence Gregson, of Buffalo. Burial was made in Maplegrove Cemetery.
