Elmer Arnold Cosby, a life-long resident of Grimsby, died suddenly Monday at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Grimsby on April 7th, 1916, a son of Harry and Elizabeth (Lambert) Cosby. He was a veteran of World War II, having served from 1942 to 1945, and was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Burton; a son, Gary, and a daughter, June; also his mother and father; three brothers, Wilfred, of North Grimsby; Lawrence, of Grimsby Beach; and William, of Toronto; and a sister, Laura Cosby.

Funeral services were held in St. Andrew's Church on Wednesday afternoon with interment in St. Andrew's Churchyard.
