Lafayette Vansickle, of 2 Academy Street, Ancaster, died at his home last Tuesday afternoon in his 78th year.
Mr. Vansickle was born at Trinity, for about 30 years lived in the west, then came to Hamilton where he resided for 15 years, moving to Ancaster 2 years ago. He was a member of Trinity United Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Cassel and three daughters, Mrs. C.H. Clarin, Calgary, Mrs. Fred Henderson, Vancouver, Mrs. J.H. Lorimner, Airdrie, Alberta; three sons, Calvin, Dundas, Marvin, Burlington, and Lincoln of Grimsby; four brothers, Otto Vansickle, Fairbanks, Alaska, Grant of Trinity, Morley and Ira also of Trinity; three sisters, Mrs. T.E. Farr, Airdrie, Alta., Mrs. F. Dean, Toronto, Mrs. Roy Brown, of Trinity, and 9 grandchildren.
