William Henry Konkle, resident of Caistor Township since 1946, and formerly of Hamilton, and of the Grimsby district, died last Wednesday following a short illness.
In his 70th year, he was born March 10, 1882, a son of the late John W. Konkle and Harriet Wood of Grimsby.
For some years he had bought and sold farm products on the Hamilton market. He was a member of the Native Sons of Canada.
He is survived by his wife, the former Clara LeBlanc; one son, Theodore Konkle, of Toronto; one daughter, Mrs. Lionel Martineau (Jacqueline) of Caistor; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Gordon, Grimsby, and Mrs. Hattie Volterman, of Hamilton; two brothers, Fred and Edgar Konkle, of Hamilton; and one grandson.
Funeral services were held on Friday, with burial in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
