A quiet wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Book, Park Road, Grimsby Beach, on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 29th, when their daughter, Marion Elizabeth, was united in marriage to Erland Clifton Misner of Cainsville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Misner of Cainsville.
The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. H.J. Scott of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Beamsville. The room was decorated with baskets of white mums, fern and white wedding bells. The bride given in marriage by her father wore a ballerina length royal blue velvet gown with Queen Ann collar and carried yellow Pinnocchio roses, white carnations and lily of the valley. She wore pearls, the gift of the groom. The bridesmaid, Miss Margaret Ferguson, niece of the bride, wore wine velvet with rhinestone trimmings and carried pink pinocchio roses, carnations and lily of the valley.
The best man was Mr. Morley Misner of Cainsville. The wedding music was played by Miss Jean Ferguson, niece of the bride, and during the signing of the register played "I Love You Truly".
After a reception for 30 guests at El Rancho Casa Blanca, the bride and groom left for their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a suit of romance beige with wine accessories. On their return the happy couple will reside on the groom's farm at Cainsville.
