Alexander Thomas Small died last Sunday evening at his home at Vineland Station. One of the oldest residents of the district, he was 90 years of age,

Mr. Small was born in United States, came to Canada as a small boy, and lived in Toronto and the West before moving to Vineland. He claimed to have taken an active part in the Riel Rebellion during his days in the west. He was a member of St. Alban's Church in Beamsville and the Black Knights, St. Catharines.

Mr. Small is survived by 4 sons, Charles of Toronto, Robert of Port Dalhousie, Henry of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Beau, Vineland Station; 3 daughters, Mrs. Cora Fretz of Grimsby, Mrs. Beatrice Noon of Hamilton, and Mrs. Margaret Jeffries of Toronto; and 17 grandchildren.
