On November 24th, at Christ Lutheran Church, St. Catharines, the wedding took place of Lynda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Betzold, Fenwick, Ont., and Nick, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fillimchuk, Grimsby. Rev. O. Radtke officiated,
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown of lavender-blue nylon marquisette over taffeta, with a jacket of French lace with long sleeves. Her finger-tip veil of lavender-blue nylon was held in place with white carnations, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and chrysanthemums.
Miss Janet Fillimchuk, sister of the groom, was maid of honour, and Miss Vivian Cassey, St. Catharines, was bridesmaid. Both wore similar gowns of taffeta, with headdresses of carnations. The maid of honour in pink and the bridesmaid in yellow carried bouquets of pink chrysanthemums.
The best man was Mr. Fred Betzold, brother of the bride, and the usher was Mr. Bill Podwinski, St. Catharines.
A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sauchuk, Grimsby, for 70 guests.
For going away the bride chose a grey gabardine suit with a black coat and grey accessories.
After their honeymoon in the United States, the couple will live at 67 George St., St. Catharines.
