Robert N. Rutherford, 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelles Rutherford, Grimsby, was fatally injured in a motor accident at Long Lac Monday. Details of the accident were not immediately available. Robert and a younger brother, David, were employed on a construction project near the Northern Ontario town.

Robert Rutherford was born in Grimsby on October 7, 1926, and was educated at the local public and high school. He saw service with an infantry brigade and also with the Merchant Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Grimsby. His parents, and a brother, David, survive.

Funeral service will be held today (Thursday) in St. Andrew's Church at 2 p.m. Interment will be made in St. Andrew's Churchyard.
