Full Text

William Cameron Mackie, representative of the Parke-David Drug Company for the Niagara Peninsula, and a well known and highly respected resident of St. Catharines, passed away very suddenly on Saturday morning at the family residence, 103 Glenwood Avenue.

In his 39th year, the late Mr. Mackie was born in Beamsville and had resided in Hamilton and also Toronto, where he was manager of Tamblyn's Drug Store for 10 years, previous to his coming to St. Catharines 4 years ago.

He was widely known throughout the district both in business and private life and by his genial personality enjoyed the acquaintance of a host of friends to whom his passing will come as a distinct shock, and whose deepest sympathy will be extended to the sorrowing family.

In religion he was a member and an elder of St. Paul St. United Church. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and also a member of the Travelling Men's Auxiliary of the Retail Druggists of Ontario.

To mourn his passing, he leaves his sorrowing widow, the former Mabel Wiley; his mother, Mrs. Mary Mackie, of Beamsville; and a sister, Mrs. Edwin Gadsby, of Grimsby Beach, Ont.
