Mrs. Francis Spence, of 89 Carrick Avenue, died early last Wednesday in the Hamilton General Hospital.

Born in East Flamboro Township 77 years ago, she had lived in Hamilton for the last 14 years, and was a member of the Church of St. Peter and its Women's Auxiliary. She was the former Hannah Gastle.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Spence leaves two sons, James R., Grimsby Beach, and Erwin M., at home; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (May) Miller, of Hamilton; a brother, George, of Milton; and 10 grandchildren.
