Married 25 years on September 25th, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Piett, 35 Ontario Street, celebrated their silver wedding on the previous Sunday, September 23rd.
About 40 guests, including the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Piett from Winona, brought good wishes and gifts to the happy couple. They came from Niagara Falls, N.Y., Sanborn, N.Y., Vittoria, Hamilton and Grimsby.
Refreshments were served by Misses Elaine Jones, Pearl Lentz and Marion Piett, dressed alike in black skirts and long-sleeved white blouses, with pink carnation corsages.
Mrs. Mabel Lane, Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Mrs. Max Jarvis, Vittoria, poured tea.
To receive the guests, Mrs. Piett wore a becoming gown of navy nylon with white lace, and a corsage of Sarah Jane carnations. The rooms were made attractive for the occasion with asters, roses, carnations and gladioli.
Photos were taken of the party, showing Mr. and Mrs. Piett cutting their anniversary cake.
Rev. T.A. Richards officiated at the marriage of 25 years ago, which took place in the Baptist parsonage.
