Mrs. Arthur E. Griffin, of 133 Bold Street, Hamilton, died Friday at the General Hospital, after a short illness.

In her 76th year, she was born at Fulton on June 18, 1876, a daughter of Daniel St. John and Sarah Snyder. She lived in Smithville for a number of years and in Hamilton for the last 35 years. She was a member of Philpott Tabernacle.

Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Walter Dawson, of Hamilton; Mrs. Willard Taylor, of Boonton, N.J.; Mrs. James Fegan, of Tampa, Fla.; Miss Jean Griffin; also three sons, George, William C., and James Griffin; 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Marcus St. John, of Grimsby.
