In Garside Gospel Church, on Saturday afternoon, September 1st, the Rev. R.H. Bradley united in marriage Margaret Isobel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lowndes, Hamilton, and Ronald Gordon Duck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Duck, Grassie.
Wearing a gown of cocoa lace over champagne satin, with matching lace gloves and hat and accessories in champagne tone, the bride was given away by her father. Her flowers were Talisman roses. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mordeca, the latter wearing a taupe shade costume with pink feather hat and pink and black accessories. In her corsage were Rapture roses. Mr. T. Cotterill played the wedding music.
A reception for the immediate family was held at Club 222, the bride's mother receiving in a burgundy and black suit ensemble with cream gladioli in her corsage, while the groom's mother was in navy blue with grey hat and her flowers were sweetheart roses.
A rust suit and hat with touches of honey shade, and snakeskin accessories, was worn by the bride for going away.
After the wedding trip through the Northern States and Quebec, the couple will live in Hamilton.
