A well known and highly respected resident of this district in the person of George Jarrett died at Wellsville, N.Y., on Friday, in his 86th year.

He formerly had resided in Niagara-on-the-Lake and also here in Grimsby, and had been visiting in Wellsville for the past 3 months. His many friends will learn with deep regret of his passing.

In religion he was an adherent of the United Church. He is survived by tow sons, Dr. William J. Jarrett, of Dolgeville, N.Y., and George Jarrett, Coppercliffe, Ont.; also a sister, Mrs. Mabel Weidbrick, of Pickardville, Ont.

Mr. Jarrett's wife predeceased him in 1942.
