George David Gear, 114 Guelph Line, Burlington, suffered a heart attack last Wednesday while attending the races in Hamilton with his son, and died before reaching the General Hospital by ambulance. He was in his 60th year.

Born in England, the son of the late John and Ellen Gear, he came to Canada 33 years ago. He was a member of the Fourth Battalion and served overseas during the 1st World War.

After coming to Canada, Mr. Gear lived in Grimsby where he conducted a dairy business. He had been doing landscape gardening in the Burlington area for the last several years. He was an Anglican by faith.
