Two graduates in medicine from the University of Toronto, Dr. Joan Margaret Vale, daughter of Mrs. Vale and the late John Martin Vale of Toronto, and Dr. Dayton Marsh Forman, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Herbert Forman of Hamilton and grandson of the late John H. Forman, for many years principal of Grimsby Public School, were married in Forest Hill United Church, Toronto. Rev. Stanley L. Osborne, principal of Ontario Ladies' College, officiated, assisted by Rev. H.B. Hendershot.
The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Basil Vale, wore a gown of white nylon net, fashioned with a fitted bodice, matching net jacket and very full skirt. Her finger-tip veil was gathered to a corsage of white flowers and she carried a small cascade of roses centred with an orchid.
Miss Ann Crealock, maid of honour, Miss Nancy Simpson and Miss Peggy Gall, bridesmaids, were all gowned alike in pale peach nylon marquisette, fashioned with fitted bodices, flared ballerina length skirts and matching stoles. They wore crescent headdresses of summer flowers, in shades ranging from pale yellow to violet, and carried matching bouquets.
Dr. John S. Christilaw was the groomsman, and the ushers were Mr. James Smith and Dr. John Williams, all of Hamilton.
The reception was at The Towers. The bride and groom will live in Toronto while continuing post graduate work, after a wedding trip to the Maritimes.
